South Carolina will begin its quest for back-to-back national titles in Las Vegas, as the Gamecocks are set to play Michigan at T-Mobile Arena on Nov. 4 to open the 2024-25 campaign.

The game will be part of the Hall of Fame Series, which also features a matchup between Texas and Ohio State’s men’s basketball teams. South Carolina coach Dawn Staley noted that it was hard to put a schedule together due to the fact that few teams want to go up against the Gamecocks, who are coming off a perfect 38-0 season.

Meanwhile, Michigan went 20-14 last season. The Wolverines fell to Kansas in overtime in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

South Carolina has not played Michigan since 1995. The Gamecocks, who also went all the way in 2022, have won all three of their previous meetings with the Wolverines. Two of those victories came at home.
