WNCAAB: No. 25 Ole Miss shoots 67.3 percent in rout of Alcorn State

Starr Jacobs hit 6 of 7 field-goal attempts, scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds as No. 25 Ole Miss thrashed Alcorn State 93-41 on Monday in Oxford, Miss.

Sira Thienou finished 5 of 6 from the floor and Tameiya Sadler was 5 of 7, each adding 13 points for the Rebels (9-3) while contributing to the teams’ 67.3 percent field-goal shooting.

Madison Scott logged 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Kharyssa Richardson also had 12 points off the bench and Kennedy Todd-Williams put up 11 points as Ole Miss won its fourth game in a row.

Zy’Nyia White was the lone player to score in double figures for the Lady Braves (2-9), as she wound up with 12 points. Alcorn State took its third consecutive defeat and fell to 0-9 against Division I opposition.

The Rebels never trailed, jumping out to a 22-9 lead after one quarter. The game got out of hand after halftime, when Ole Miss went on an 18-0 run in the third period and a 21-0 surge spanning the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter.
