Former Louisville guard Hailey Van Lith announced Thursday that she is headed to play for defending national champion LSU.

Van Lith’s post on Instagram came nearly three weeks after she entered the NCAA transfer portal. She visited the Baton Rouge campus on April 19.

By joining the Tigers, Van Lith will play alongside Final Four Most Outstanding Player Angel Reese.

Reese was quick to comment on Van Lith’s post on social media, writing “oh it’s UP.”

A two-time first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, Van Lith averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 37 games for the Cardinals last season.

“We thank Hailey for her contributions to this program, this school and this community,” Louisville coach Jeff Walz said in a statement on April 8. “She has done everything we have asked of her over the past three years, and we wish her the very best in her final collegiate season and beyond.”
