Dallas Wings guard Crystal Dangerfield signed a multi-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Wings for Dangerfield, who was acquired on Jan. 16 via a three-team trade involving the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun.

“Crystal has demonstrated the ability to play at an elite level in the WNBA and she will add talent and depth to our backcourt,” Wings president and CEO Greg Bibb said.

A second-round pick by Minnesota out of UConn in 2020, Dangerfield has career averages of 8.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 85 games (56 starts) with the Lynx and Liberty. She was the WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2020.

“I’m excited for a new chapter in Dallas and I’m ready to get to work with this awesome coaching staff and my new teammates,” Dangerfield said. “I’d like to thank Greg Bibb and Coach (Latricia) Trammell for the opportunity to be a part of this organization and a chance to try and build something special. Go Wings!”

Also on Thursday, the Wings signed Kalani Brown to a contract, while fellow center Bella Alarie announced her retirement on social media as a means “to enter the next phase of my life and career.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team for Brown, who spent parts of three seasons with the Atlanta Dream and Los Angeles Sparks before competing with Maccabi Bnot Ashdod in Israel.

Brown, 25, is currently averaging 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks this season with Maccabi Bnot Ashdod.

Alarie, 24, averaged 2.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 53 career games (14 starts) since being selected by Dallas with the fifth overall pick of the 2020 WNBA Draft.
