Forward Nneka Ogwumike, the 2016 WNBA Most Valuable Player and an eight-time All-Star, signed with the Seattle Storm on Monday.

ESPN reported that Ogwumike signed a one-year contract with Seattle after meeting with the New York Liberty, Chicago Sky, Atlanta Dream and Phoenix Mercury during her free agency.

Ogwumike, 33, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft and went on to win Rookie of the Year honors. Her MVP season saw her averaged 19.7 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game over 33 games, fueling the Sparks to the WNBA championship.

Ogwumike averaged 19.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last season while picking up her eighth career All-Star nod. She has tallied 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest for her 356-game career.
