Free-agent guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough re-signed with the Washington Mystics on Tuesday.
Walker-Kimbrough, 26, returned to the Mystics last season following appearances with the Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun. She averaged 7.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 16 games (13 starts) with the Mystics last season.
“We look forward to the continued growth of Shatori’s game that she displayed upon her return to the Mystics last season. In addition, she has had an outstanding season in Israel this winter,” Mystics coach Mike Thibault said. “She can be an integral part of our success because she has become a big contributor at both ends of the floor. I think she will play a key role this season. It’s great to have her back!”
A member of the Mystics’ championship team in 2019, Walker-Kimbrough has averaged 5.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 118 career games (33 starts). She initially was selected by Washington with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft.
