WNBA: Mystics acquire G Jade Melbourne from Storm

The Washington Mystics acquired guard Jade Melbourne from the Seattle Storm on Saturday in exchange for a 2025 third-round draft pick.

Melbourne, 21, averaged 2.6 points with 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29 games off the bench for the Storm last season. The Melbourne, Australia, native was a third-round draft pick by Seattle in 2022.

The Mystics will begin their regular-season schedule Tuesday at home against the New York Liberty. The Storm also opens their season Tuesday with a visit from the Minnesota Lynx.
