New York Liberty guard Marine Johannes will make her season debut Friday night against the host Chicago Sky.

The Liberty (3-1) announced her return with an homage to Michael Jordan. “Je suis revenue,” the team tweeted. (“I’m back,” in her native French.)

Johannes was active for Tuesday night’s 86-78 victory at Seattle but did not play. She previously had been listed as questionable due to “international clearance” issues.

Johannes, 28, averaged 10.0 points, 3.4 assists and 1.7 rebounds in 24 games (10 starts) for the Liberty last season.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she remained in France for the 2020 and 2021 seasons after playing in 19 games as rookie with New York in 2019.
