The Atlanta Dream parted ways with head coach Tanisha Wright on Wednesday after three seasons.

The Dream posted a 15-25 record this season and were swept in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight year. The New York Liberty provided the honors this week with a pair of home victories over Atlanta.

“Tanisha was an important contributor in our efforts to rebuild the Dream, and we want to thank her for her hard work and dedication to the Dream over the last three seasons and wish her the best in the future,” said Dan Padover, Dream general manager and executive vice president.

“At this time, we believe a change is needed to lead our players and organization to the next chapter in our efforts to be a top team in the WNBA.”

Wright, 40, went 48-68 in her three seasons with the Dream during her first head coaching job in the league.
