The Atlanta Dream acquired guard Crystal Dangerfield from the Dallas Wings on Saturday in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2025.

Dangerfield, 25, was named WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2020 after she was drafted in the second round by the Minnesota Lynx. But she was waived after the 2021 season and has played for the Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Wings since.

After Dangerfield averaged 16.2 points with 3.6 assists in her rookie season, she struggled to meet that standard amid multiple roster changes. Last season with the Wings, Dangerfield averaged 8.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds, her best production in those categories since her rookie season.

In her four WNBA seasons, the UConn product has averaged 8.7 points with 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 120 games (88 starts).

The Wings also waived forward Emma Cannon, who averaged 5.5 points with 3.3 rebounds in 109 career games (11 starts) over five seasons for the Fever, Phoenix Mercury, Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces.
