The Washington Mystics on Thursday became the latest WNBA team to announce a venue change to accommodate a visit from Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

The Mystics are moving their June 7 date from the 4,200-seat Entertainment & Sports Arena to the 20,000-seat Capital One Arena, home of the NBA’s Wizards and NHL’s Capitals.

The Mystics’ news release cited “unprecedented demand” for tickets in the wake of Monday night’s WNBA Draft, when the Fever selected all-time NCAA scoring leader Clark with the No. 1 overall pick.

The Las Vegas Aces announced earlier this week that they have moved their July 2 game against Indiana from Michelob Ultra Arena (12,000 seats) to T-Mobile Arena (18,000).

Similar venue shifts have been happening in MLS since last season, when superstar Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami.
