T1 announced that its Valorant team has parted ways with Timothy “autimatic” Ta.
The former CS:GO standout joined the team in February 2021 to help lead a reworked roster, but T1 failed to realize any sustained success during the 2021 VCT season.
autimatic has been linked to a potential return to CS:GO, with Dot Esports reporting he could possibly reunite with former Cloud9 teammate Jake “Stewie2k” Yip with Evil Geniuses.
T1 had been expected to trim a player from its Valorant roster following the additions of Joshua “steel” Nissan and Zander “thwifo” Kim.

autimatic and Stewie2K won the ELEAGUE Boston Major in 2018, among other accomplishments, while playing together for C9. He also guided Gen.G to a win at the DreamHack Open Anaheim in 2020.
Another former C9 teammate, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, remains on the T1 Valorant roster. The remaining roster includes Rahul “curry” Neman Anthony “dawn” Hagopia, who was promoted from the academy team.
