Excel Esports revealed the latest overhaul to its Valorant roster, with Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff the only returning player entering the 2022 VCT season.

He will be joined by Oscar “ozzy” Scott, Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, Dragan “elllement” Milanovic and Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski.

Moe40 joined Excel last June when the team parted ways with David “Davidp” Prins and Morgan “B1GGY” Madour due to “the team not improving at a quick enough rate to compete at the highest level.”

Excel did finish second at the Valorant Open Tour: France – Spring qualifiers. However, the team has yet to reach its goal of being competitive with the best VCT teams and had to withdraw from the finals in November due to not having a full roster.

The new roster will debut at the open qualifiers scheduled for Monday and Jan. 17 ahead of the VCT State One Challengers circuit that begins Feb. 11. The outlined goal by Excel is to achieve “good placements from Challengers” leading to “a spot at masters” and ultimately competing for the world championship.

Moe40 is a veteran player who joined last summer after a stint with Fnatic. chiwawa also brings experience as the 24-year-old Russian has spent time with Entropiq and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Ozzie and elllement, both 23, have been competing with NoPoaching since May, while the 22-year-old paTiTek has been with Team Heretics since June.
