B.T. Potter nailed a game-winning 28-yard field goal, and the Michigan Panthers survived a back-and-forth battle with the San Antonio Brahmas, winning 26-23 in Detroit.

The Panthers (2-1) built advantages of 17-9 and 23-15 before the Brahmas (0-3) rallied to tie the score with 4:46 to play on Jordan Williams’ 15-yard interception return for a touchdown and Jashaun Corbin’s 2-point run conversion.

Williams added nine tackles, a tackle for a loss and a pass breakup.

Bryce Perkins shook off the mistake and drove his team 36 yards in 10 plays, consuming 3:55, to set up Potter’s game-winner with 54 seconds left. Potter also connected from 34 yards at the end of the first half.

The Brahmas had one more chance to draw even, but Donald De La Haye, who made three field goals, missed from 53 yards at the gun.

Perkins finished 17 of 23 for 193 yards and added two rushing touchdowns, while Panthers teammate Jaden Shirden ran for 59 yards and touchdown on seven carries.

Kellen Mond threw for 152 yards and a touchdown for San Antonio, which is winless a year after advancing to the UFL Championship.
