William Gomis was pulled from his scheduled fight against Jean Silva at UFC 301 after being helped out of the weigh-ins by security.

Gomis weighed in at 143 pounds Friday and appeared dizzy after stepping off the scale. He was assisted off the stage and later removed from Saturday’s card at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

MMAFighting.com’s Guilherme Cruz reported that Gomis vomited shortly before weighing in and was monitored closely by commission doctors.

Gomis (13-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has won each of his first three UFC fights, including a knockout of Yanis Ghemmouri in September.

It was unknown if UFC will attempt to find a fill-in to face the hometown star Silva (12-2, 1-0), who is coming off a first-round win over Westin Wilson in January.
