Max Holloway defeated Arnold Allen by unanimous decision in their featherweight bout, the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday night at Kansas City, Mo.
Holloway took the cards 49-46, 49-46, 48-47 to improve to 24-7. Allen dropped to 19-2.
Holloway landed 149 strikes – 147 significant – to just 80 and 76 for Allen.
But Holloway paid homage to Allen after the fight.
“I love you guys, I love everybody, but please, guys, when this man, this friggin beast of a man right here takes the mike, please do not boo the man. Let’s cheer for him. He’s a warrior,” Holloway implored the crowd.
