The Masters was not a big hit with television viewers as the CBS audience dropped by nearly 23 percent.

Sunday’s final round averaged 9.589 million viewers, down from 12.058 million for the 2023 Masters.

Sports Media Watch said it was the least-watched Masters since 1993 if you take out the COVID-19 years of 2020 and 2021.

Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket in three years on Sunday but there wasn’t any suspense as he completed his round as a four-stroke winner. Sunday’s final-round viewership topped out at 12.562 million viewers.

CBS averaged 8.21 million viewers for its two-day weekend coverage, down from 8.99 million last year.

Spain’s Jon Rahm won the 2023 Masters.
