NTMR downed Spacestation Gaming 4-2 on Sunday in the grand final of Overwatch Champions Series North American Stage 1.

The $100,000 tournament, played online, featured eight teams. The two finalists earned Champions Clash berths. The two teams that didn’t make the double-elimination playoffs, Shikigami and Amplify, will proceed to promotion/relegation for Stage 2.

Spacestation Gaming started fast with a 2-1 win on Nepal Control, but NTMR responded with victories on Route 66 Escort (3-2) and Suravasa Flashpoint (3-0).

Colosseo Push went to Spacestation, 139.62m to 66.43m. NTMR then took the match with a 2-0 win on Lijian Tower Control and the final battle on Esperanca Push, 136.65m to 77.41m.

Xavier “zeruhh” Zambrano, of the United States and Ecuador, was selected the MVP of the match.

NTMR emerged from the lower bracket final earlier Sunday with a 3-2 win over Team Liquid, who finished in third place.

Like in the grand final, NTMR dropped the opening map, this time 2-0 on Lijiang Tower Control, then rebounded with a 3-1 win on Suravasa Flashpoint and 1-0 on Havana Escort. Team Liquid took Esperanca Push, 125.52m-42.54m. NTMR won Nepal Control 2-1 and the match.

Riley “cuFFa” Brown of Australian was selected the MVP of the match.

NTMR’s path through the regional playoffs to the title started with a 3-0 win over Rad Esports on March 2 in the lower bracket quarterfinals, then a 3-1 victory over Timeless on Saturday in the semifinals.
