Seattle Reign FC announced the signing of two Welsh players Wednesday, midfielder Angharad James and defender Lily Woodham.

James signed through the 2025 season, having been acquired via transfer from Tottenham Hotspur of the Women’s Super League in exchange for an agreed-upon fee. She will join Seattle when she receives her visa.

James, 29, played two seasons for Tottenham, making 28 starts in 33 appearances and earning two assists.

Before playing for the Hotspurs, she played two seasons in the NWSL, with the North Carolina Courage and Orlando Pride.

Woodham is also signed through the 2025 season, with a one-year mutual option, in exchange for a transfer fee to Reading. She, too, will join the Reign upon receipt of her visa.

Woodham, 23, had played for Reading since 2018 and was the club’s captain in 2023. She made 84 appearances and recorded two assists with Reading.
