The Portland Thorns and host Seattle Reign battled to a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon.

Shelby Hogan made two saves for Portland. Claudia Dickey stopped one shot for Seattle.

The draw snapped a four-match losing streak for the Reign (2-9-2, 8 points), who came into this match 13th in the league standings.

The Thorns (7-4-2, 23 points) struggled to create any solid chances without several starters, including Sophia Smith, who currently leads the NWSL in goals (nine) and is second in assists (six). Smith was suspended one match after receiving a red card in Portland’s 1-0 win over the North Carolina Courage last weekend.

Portland also played without starters Sam Coffey and Olivia Moultrie, who are dealing with injuries.

Seattle hasn’t won a match since a 2-1 victory over the San Diego Wave on May 3. The Reign have only scored 13 goals in their 13 matches so far this season.

The Thorns, meanwhile, sit in fifth in the league standings after Sunday’s draw. Portland has scored 25 goals as a team so far in 2024, the third-most of any team in the NWSL this season.

This was the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Thorns won the first match 4-0 on May 11.
