NJ/NY Gotham FC played to a scoreless draw on the road against the Houston Dash on Friday, continuing the club’s success at collecting points on the road over the last two seasons.

After playing to a 1-1 tie on the road against the Seattle Reign to open the season, Gotham FC (0-1-2, 2 points) matched their host again after Ann-Katrin Berger made one save.

Over their last 16 road games, going back to May of last season, Gotham FC have lost just once, going 9-1-6 in the stretch.

The Dash (1-1-1, 4 points) have earned a result in each of its past two games after they followed a season-opening defeat with a 2-1 road victory over the Chicago Stars last week. Houston’s Jane Campbell had two saves.

Dash forward Yazmeen Ryan and midfielder Delanie Sheehan each played against their former club after both were with Gotham FC last season.

While the Dash have just three goals in three games on the season, Gotham FC’s offense has been stagnant in the early part of the season with just one goal and none over the past two games.

Gotham FC did win the possession battle, holding the ball for 59 percent of the match. They also had a 9-3 advantage on shots.

Gotham FC hold an 11-9-6 all time advantage against the Dash and have now earned at least one point in nine of the 12 games played between the teams at Houston.
