Logan Cooley scored the go-ahead goal during a wild second period as the Utah Hockey Club earned a 4-2 road victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Michael Carcone, Juuso Valimaki and Kevin Stenlund also scored for Utah, which has won two in a row for the first time since starting the season 3-0-0. Jaxson Stauber made 22 saves in the win.

Joel Farabee and Owen Tippett scored for the Flyers, who dropped their third straight game. Philadelphia goalie Samuel Ersson made his return to the ice after missing nearly a month with a lower-body injury and finished with 21 saves.

The teams combined for five goals in a span of 8:29 of the second period.

Carcone opened the scoring when his shot was saved by Ersson and then the puck immediately caromed off the skate of Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and into the net.

Farabee answered just 19 seconds later as Nick Seeler’s shot got behind Stauber and Farabee punched it home for his first goal since Nov. 9.

Less than 2 1/2 minutes later, Valimaki deflected a shot from Mikhail Sergachev past Ersson for his first goal of the season.

Philadelphia answered again as Tippett’s wrister from the top of the left circle went in amid traffic in front for his eighth goal of the season.

However, the Flyers’ momentum didn’t last long, as the visitors tied it with a power-play goal less than two minutes later. Dylan Guenther made a crisp pass in front of the crease to Cooley, who quickly shifted to his backhand and beat a helpless Ersson for his seventh of the season.

Philadelphia appeared to tie it 3-3 early in the third period, but Utah challenged and the ruling was changed to goaltender interference.

Despite the goal reversal, the Flyers had a late power play with a chance to tie again. On that man advantage, Morgan Frost overskated the puck on an offensive rush and Stenlund beat Ersson on the ensuing breakaway.
