Travis Konecny scored twice, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche in Denver on Saturday.

Travis Sanheim and Owen Tippett each contributed a goal and an assist, and Joel Farabee added the other goal for the Flyers, who have won four straight games.

Bobby Brink added two assists while goaltender Carter Hart made a season-high 36 saves for Philadelphia, which won in Colorado for the first time since March 28, 2018.

Nathan MacKinnon and Josh Manson responded for Colorado, while Ivan Prosvetov stopped 29 shots. The Avalanche have lost five of their past six games.

Farabee and Konecny scored 46 seconds apart in the third period to give Philadelphia a three-goal lead.

Konecny was awarded a penalty shot after being taken down by MacKinnon on a partial breakaway at 9:31 of the third. On the ensuing penalty shot, Konecny beat Prosvetov above the left pad for his second goal of the night and 16th of the season.

Then, at 10:17 of the third, Farabee tapped home a Brink feed for his 10th goal of the season.

The Flyers held a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes.

Tippett put home his own rebound for his ninth goal of the season to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead at 9:01 of the second period.

Sanheim gave Philadelphia a two-goal lead at 11:17 of the middle period, beating Prosvetov blocker-side for his third goal of the season.

Manson got Colorado within one, beating a screened Hart with a wrist shot from the point at 12:28 of the second.

Colorado outshot Philadelphia 13-12 in the opening 20 minutes, but the two clubs were tied 1-1 after one.

Konecny opened the scoring at 17:41 of the first, taking a Sean Couturier feed and beating Prosvetov glove-side for his 15th marker of the season. The Flyers right winger has eight first-period goals this season.

Couturier extended his point streak to five games with the assist.

MacKinnon responded 1:18 later, getting around Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and snapping a shot past Hart for his 11th goal of the season. The Colorado center extended his point streak to 11 games and has points in all 13 of the Avalanche’s home games this season.

The two clubs will meet for a second and final time this season on Jan. 20 in Philadelphia.
