NHL: Red Wings’ Patrick Kane activated off IR, to play vs. Senators

Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane has been activated off injured reserve and is expected to play in Thursday’s game against the host Ottawa Senators.

Kane has missed five games with what initially was labeled as an undisclosed ailment, however the Red Wings later described it as an upper-body injury.

Kane, 36, has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 20 games this season.

A three-time Stanley Cup winner and 2016 Hart Trophy recipient, Kane has totaled 1,294 points (474 goals, 820 assists) in 1,250 career games with the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings.
