Jesper Boqvist scored two goals for the Florida Panthers in a 5-3 win against the New York Rangers on Monday evening in Sunrise, Fla.

Eetu Luostarinen, Mackie Samoskevich and Aleksander Barkov also scored, Uvis Balinskis had two assists and Sergei Bobrovsky made 33 saves for the Panthers, who had been shut out in each of their previous two games.

Filip Chytil, Ryan Lindgren and Chris Kreider scored and Igor Shesterkin made 21 saves for the Rangers, who have dropped seven of their past eight games.

Boqvist gave Florida a 4-3 lead at 11:38 of the third period after he got to a loose rebound to the side of Shesterkin and shoved the puck across the goal line as he fell to the ice.

The Panthers killed a late power play, and Barkov then scored into an empty net with 37 seconds left to make it 5-3.

Luostarinen ended his team’s scoring drought when he scored at 3:04 of the first period to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.

Shesterkin made a save on a snap shot by Sam Bennett and poked the puck out to teammate Mika Zibanejad in the high slot, but Zibanejad gave the puck away to Gustav Forsling above the left circle. Forsling’s shot was tipped into the net by Luostarinen.

The Panthers extended the lead to 2-0 at 5:21 of the first on the score from Samoskevich. New York challenged for goaltender interference, but the goal stood.

After pressuring Bobrovsky in the second period, the Rangers finally got a shot past him at 14:25 to cut their deficit to 2-1.

Brett Berard’s wrist shot from the top of the right circle was saved by Bobrovsky, but the rebound came out to the slot, and Chytil was there to squeeze the puck through the goalie’s pads.

New York tied the game 2-2 at 16:17 of the second when Lindgren redirected Adam Fox’s pass into the net, but the Panthers would retake the lead 38 seconds later.

Shesterkin made a save on a wraparound try by Anton Lundell, but he lost his footing and his stick and Boqvist took advantage of the open net and gave Florida a 3-2 lead at 16:55.

The Rangers tied it up again, 3-3, at 5:19 of the third period and ended an 0-for-25 drought on the power play when Kreider scored on a one-timer off a feed from Artemi Panarin.
