NHL: NHL roundup: Oilers rally past Kraken for 12th straight win

Warren Foegele scored twice and Leon Draisaitl had a goal and three assists as the Edmonton Oilers rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the visiting Seattle Kraken 4-2 on Thursday and extend their franchise-record winning streak to 12 games.

Zach Hyman had a goal and an assist and Evander Kane added two helpers for the Oilers. Goaltender Stuart Skinner made 25 saves.

Edmonton’s Connor McDavid extended his point streak to 12 games (five goals, 13 assists) by setting up Hyman’s power-play goal at 17:22 of the third period. Seattle’s Yanni Gourde was serving a five-minute major for charging.

Eeli Tolvanen and Jared McCann scored for Seattle, which lost its third in a row following a franchise-best nine-game win streak. Joey Daccord stopped 32 of 36 shots.

Predators 2, Kings 1

Ryan O’Reilly had a goal and an assist as visiting Nashville beat Los Angeles.

Gustav Nyquist also scored and Juuse Saros made 33 saves for the Predators, who have won six of nine.

Drew Doughty scored a power-play goal and David Rittich made 31 saves for the Kings, who have just one win in their past 11 games.

Golden Knights 5, Rangers 1

Ivan Barbashev scored two goals and Logan Thompson made 29 saves to lead Vegas to a victory over New York in Las Vegas.

It was the eighth multigoal game of Barbashev’s career. Jonathan Marchessault and Brett Howden each had a goal and an assist and Keegan Kolesar also scored for Vegas, which improved to 17-5-2 at home.

Mika Zibanejad snapped an eight-game goalless streak with a power-play goal for New York, which was playing the first game of a four-game Western road trip. Igor Shesterkin stopped 21 of 25 shots.

Maple Leafs 4, Flames 3

Auston Matthews collected his fourth hat trick of the season in a four-point game to lead visiting Toronto to a comeback victory over Calgary.

Mitch Marner also scored for Toronto, which snapped a four-game winless skid. William Nylander collected two assists, and Martin Jones made 23 saves.

Yegor Sharangovich, Nazem Kadri and Andrew Mangiapane scored for the Flames, who surrendered a two-goal lead and saw their season-best winning streak snapped at four games. Dan Vladar stopped 29 shots and Jonathan Huberdeau netted two assists.

Capitals 5, Blues 2

T.J. Oshie scored his sixth career hat trick to lead Washington past visiting St. Louis.

Dylan Strome had a goal and an assist for the Capitals, who won for the fourth time in six games. Nicolas Aube-Kubel also scored for Washington, John Carlson and Max Pacioretty had two assists, and Charlie Lindgren made 17 saves.

Nathan Walker scored twice for the Blues, who are 1-3-1 in their past five games. St. Louis goalie Jordan Binnington stopped 21 shots.

Lightning 7, Wild 3

Victor Hedman had a goal and three assists as surging Tampa Bay recorded a season-best fourth straight win, drubbing visiting Minnesota.

Anthony Cirelli had two goals and an assist, while Brayden Point scored and added two helpers. Steven Stamkos and Michael Eyssimont netted power-play goals. Waltteri Merela scored his first career goal in his 15th NHL game. Nikita Kucherov reached 500 career assists with a three-helper outing. Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 30 shots to win for the fourth straight time.

Minnesota’s Jake Middleton scored his career-high sixth goal and had two assists. Joel Eriksson Ek and Marco Rossi scored, but the Wild fell to 2-8-1 over their past 11 games and 7-12-2 on the road. Filip Gustavsson made 31 saves.

Flyers 5, Stars 1

Owen Tippett scored two goals as host Philadelphia snapped a seven-game skid against Dallas.

Sean Walker, Cam Atkinson and Scott Laughton each added one goal as the Flyers outshot the Stars 43-15. Morgan Frost contributed two assists for the sizzling Flyers, who have won five in a row. Samuel Ersson made 14 saves.

Tyler Seguin scored the lone goal for the Stars, who had won two straight and four of five. Jake Oettinger stopped 38 shots.

Senators 6, Canadiens 2

Tim Stutzle recorded a goal and two assists in his 250th career game as Ottawa rolled over visiting Montreal.

Stutzle, who has seven points in three games after registering one in his previous seven contests, snapped a 10-game goal drought. He then earned assists on goals by Vladimir Tarasenko and Mathieu Joseph. Brady Tkachuk and Parker Kelly each had a goal and an assist and Rourke Chartier also scored for the Senators, who matched their highest goal total of the season while earning their second win in three games.

Cole Caufield scored in his fourth straight contest and Michael Pezzetta also had a goal for Montreal, which was trying for a season-high third straight win. Instead, the Canadiens were manhandled while taking their seventh consecutive loss to Ottawa.

Sabres 3, Blackhawks 0

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen collected his second straight shutout and Buffalo won consecutive home games for the first time this season, beating Chicago.

Zemgus Girgensons, J.J. Peterka and Rasmus Dahlin scored for the Sabres in the game that was postponed one day due to a snowstorm in Buffalo.

Luukkonen made 19 saves to record his third career shutout, all coming this season. Ryan Johnson collected two assists as the Sabres won for the third time in four games.

Bruins 5, Avalanche 2

David Pastrnak finished off his first hat trick of the season with a pair of third-period goals to help Boston beat visiting Colorado.

The NHL-leading Bruins never trailed following a three-goal opening frame en route to extending their point streak to seven games (4-0-3). Jake DeBrusk added a goal and an assist, Jakub Lauko scored his first of the season, while Charlie Coyle had two assists.

Miles Wood and Nathan MacKinnon scored for Colorado, which has lost two of its last three.

Canucks 2, Coyotes 1

Dakota Joshua scored the game-winner in the second period as host Vancouver edged Arizona.

Elias Pettersson had the other goal for the Canucks. Vancouver goalie Thatcher Demko, who was playing in his 200th career NHL game, made 20 saves to improve to 11-1-1 in his past 13 contests.

Travis Dermott had the lone Coyotes goal. Connor Ingram stopped 24 shots in the loss for Arizona, which has dropped six of its last eight games (2-5-1).
