Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Petr Mrazek is expected to be sidelined four weeks after being placed on injured reserve with an ailing groin, the team announced Sunday.
Mrazek sustained a setback earlier this week after initially suffering the injury during a 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 14.
Signed to a three-year, $11.4 million contract in the summer, Mrazek has posted a 1-1-0 record with a 4.20 goals-against average and .877 save percentage this season.
Mrazek, 29, owns a 129-97-31 record with 24 shutouts, a 2.61 GAA and .910 save percentage in 277 career appearances (252 starts) with the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes and Maple Leafs.
