Adrian Kempe had two goals and an assist as the Los Angeles Kings continued their mastery of the visiting Vancouver Canucks with a 6-3 win on Saturday.

The Kings (41-25-11, 93 points) have now won five of their past six games against Vancouver (47-22-8, 102 points) and clinched the season series 3-1.

Drew Doughty and Kevin Fiala each had a goal and an assist and Anze Kopitar had two assists for the Kings, who have won three straight games. Cam Talbot stopped 39 shots.

Brock Boeser, Dakota Joshua and Teddy Blueger scored for the Canucks, who have lost four of their past six games as they work toward the Pacific Division title.

Casey DeSmith made 23 saves.

The Kings stormed out to a 2-0 lead early in the first period by scoring on their first two power plays of the game.

Kempe walked in and snapped a shot over the right arm of DeSmith at 2:48 of the first on the Kings’ first man advantage. Doughty doubled the lead just under three minutes later, tallying his 15th goal of the campaign at the 5:45 mark.

Boeser scored his 39th marker of the season at 10:48 of the period to cut the Kings’ lead to 2-1.

Alex Laferriere made it 3-1 for Los Angeles just 2:09 into the second period.

A speedy Fiala snuck behind Carson Soucy to corral a loose puck in front of the net, then outmuscled the Canucks defenseman for possession. Fiala got his own rebound and scored to give Los Angeles a commanding 4-1 lead at 8:49 of the second.

Joshua and Kings forward Trevor Moore each scored in the first 10:35 of the third to make it 5-2 Los Angeles.

The teams then traded short-handed goals to close out the scoring, as Blueger and Kempe both found the back of the net in the final eight minutes of the third.
