Joey Daccord made 24 saves for his first career shutout as the Seattle Kraken defeated the visiting Florida Panthers 4-0 Tuesday night to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Fourth-liners Kailer Yamamoto and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare each had a goal and an assist, Alex Wennberg and Eeli Tolvanen also tallied and Will Borgen had two assists for Seattle, which had gone 0-6-2 during its skid. The Kraken avoided tying the franchise record of nine consecutive losses set during their expansion season of 2021-22.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 19 of 22 shots he faced for the Panthers, who had a three-game winning streak end. The Panthers still have games at Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary remaining on their five-game trip.

The Panthers outshot the Kraken 9-3 in a scoreless first period.

The Kraken took the lead at 3:06 of the second as defenseman Borgen hit Yamamoto with a stretch pass to send the Spokane, Wash., native in on a breakaway. Yamamoto, who had gone pointless over the previous 11 games, lifted a forehand shot over Bobrovsky’s glove and into the roof of the net.

Bellemare was credited with a secondary assist on the play.

The Kraken made it 2-0 at 5:59 of the third. Bellemare won a faceoff in the offensive zone, and Yamamoto sent the puck back to rookie defenseman Ryker Evans at the left point. Evans, playing in just his fourth game, skated the puck aggressively down the wing and behind the net before finding Bellemare open in the low slot for a one-timer.

The assist gave Evans his first point.

Wennberg scored on a two-on-one rush at 9:13 of the final period, beating Bobrovsky with a low wrist shot from the left faceoff circle that caromed in off the near post.

Tolvanen added an empty-netter at 16:09.

Daccord, making his 35th career NHL appearance and 28th start, played his third game in a row with Philipp Grubauer (lower body) on the injured list.
