Dominic Toninato scored the go-ahead goal nearly midway through the third period to lift the Winnipeg Jets to a 3-2 win over the host Minnesota Wild on Sunday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn.

Adam Lowry and Vladislav Namestnikov also scored for Winnipeg, which beat Minnesota for the second straight day as part of a home-and-home weekend series. Dylan DeMelo and Josh Morrissey helped on the defensive end with five blocked shots apiece.

Frederick Gaudreau finished with a goal and an assist to lead Minnesota. Marcus Foligno also scored, and Marcus Johansson, Jared Spurgeon and Nic Petan tallied one assist apiece.

Jets goaltender Laurent Brossoit stopped 24 of 26 shots to earn the victory.

Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 26 of 29 shots to take the loss in a milestone afternoon. The matchup marked Fleury’s 1,000th career game, making him only the fourth goaltender in NHL history to achieve that feat.

Fleury joined Martin Brodeur (1,266), Roberto Luongo (1,044) and Patrick Roy (1,029).

The Wild played without top scorer Kirill Kaprizov, who was injured Saturday when he was cross-checked from behind by Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon.

Foligno opened the scoring with 1:53 remaining in the first period. He scored off a feed from Spurgeon for his sixth goal of the season.

Winnipeg pulled even at 1-1 at 2:08 of the second period. Lowry netted his seventh goal.

The Wild regained a 2-1 advantage on the power play less than two minutes later. Gaudreau took a pass from Johansson and buried a shot for his third goal.

Fifty-six seconds later, Winnipeg scored to tie the score again at 2-2. Namestnikov scored on the power play for his fourth goal of the season and only his second this month.

Toninato put the Jets on top for good at 7:32 of the third period. He picked a perfect time for his first goal of the season as he punched in a rebound during a delayed penalty for Minnesota.
