The 2026 NHL All-Star Game will be played at UBS Arena, the New York Islanders’ new home in Elmont, N.Y.

The league announced the news during the Islanders’ Stadium Series game against the rival New York Rangers on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The Islanders opened UBS Arena in November 2021. During the construction of the new facility next to Belmont Park, the team called both Nassau Coliseum and the Barclays Center part-time homes.

“We have been looking forward to UBS Arena playing host to one of our major League events since before construction of this wonderful arena began,” NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said in a statement. “We have every confidence that the Islanders organization, led by Scott Malkin and Jon Ledecky, will deliver a celebration that will make the greater New York region and the NHL proud.”

Earlier this month, the 2024 All-Star Game was held in Toronto. With the announcement of the “NHL 4 Nations Face-Off,” a midseason international tournament, no All-Star Weekend will be held in 2025.

The only other time the Islanders were designated All-Star hosts was in 1983 at Nassau Coliseum.
