Joel Farabee had a goal and two assists for the visiting Philadelphia Flyers in a 3-1 win against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Kevin Hayes had a goal and an assist, Zack MacEwen also scored, and Carter Hart made 31 saves for the Flyers, who have won four of five to start the season.

Matt Duchene scored and Juuse Saros made 22 saves for the Predators, who won their first two games against the San Jose Sharks in Prague, Czech Republic, but are 0-4-1 since returning.

Philadelphia led 2-0 after the first period, despite getting outshot 12-6.

The Flyers scored on their first shot, marking the first time this season they’ve scored first in a game. Farabee passed the puck to Hayes in the left circle and he scored on the short side with a one-timer at 3:13.

Hayes has eight points through the first five games.

MacEwen came on the ice for a change and skated straight to the high slot, where he was in the right spot for a rebound. MacEwen stopped the puck with his skate and shot it past Saros for a 2-0 lead at 18:36.

Farabee made it 3-0 when he scored off the rush from the left circle at 7:44 of the third period.

The Predators had a power play and pulled Saros for a 6-on-4, leading to a goal by Duchene with 2:18 left that made it 3-1 and spoiled Hart’s fourth NHL shutout.

The Predators went 40 for 56 in the faceoff circle (71.4 percent).

Nashville defenseman Mark Borowiecki was stretchered off the ice after a collision on the end boards left him motionless with 13:36 left in the second.

The team later said that Borowiecki was conscious and had movement in all of his extremities when he was transported from the arena to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for further testing and observation.
