Lukas Dostal made 43 saves in regulation and overtime and did not allow a goal in the shootout to help the visiting Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night.

Brian Dumoulin scored in regulation and Trevor Zegras and Leo Carlsson scored in the two-round shootout for the Ducks, who have won six of seven heading into the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Los Angeles’ Adrian Kempe scored the late equalizer and David Rittich made 25 saves, starting in goal for the second straight night because Darcy Kuemper was unavailable for personal reasons. The Kings had won three in a row following a season-long four-game skid.

Rittich made 26 saves in a 5-4 shootout win against the visiting Dallas Stars on Friday night.

Kempe rang the post and Kevin Fiala hit the crossbar in the shootout for the Kings.

Kempe scored his 25th goal of the season with a backhand as he drove through the slot to tie it 1-1 with 2:39 left in regulation.

After two scoreless periods, Dumoulin scored his first goal of the season during a delayed penalty.

Carlsson was tripped by Kings defenseman Joel Edmundson as he carried the puck along the wall in the Los Angeles zone. Carlsson managed to maintain possession of the puck and passed it back to defenseman Jacob Trouba, who then passed to Dumoulin on his left.

Dumoulin had room to bring the puck into the left circle and score with a wrist shot over Rittich’s shoulder to give Anaheim a 1-0 lead at 7:04 of the third.

It was the 26th goal of Dumoulin’s 12-year NHL career and his first since April 11, when he played for the Seattle Kraken.

Anaheim has won two straight when scoring two goals or fewer after starting the season 1-24-4 in those games.
