The New Orleans Saints placed wide receiver Chris Hogan on the reserve/retired list Saturday, one day shy of his 33rd birthday.
Hogan, who won two Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots, left the NFL behind earlier this year to pursue a career in professional lacrosse.
He decided to return for a 10th season, signing with the Saints on Sept. 6 and appearing in each of the first five games. He caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Undrafted in 2011, Hogan finishes his career with 220 receptions for 2,836 yards and 19 touchdowns with the Buffalo Bills (2012-15), Patriots (2016-18), Carolina Panthers (2019), New York Jets (2020) and Saints.
Playing in nine postseason games, Hogan added 34 catches for 542 yards and four touchdowns and won rings in Super Bowls LI and LIII. He caught six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in New England’s 41-33 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
