Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill sustained a right ankle injury during the Titans’ 24-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in London.

Also, Baltimore safety Kyle Hamilton was ejected from the game following a helmet-to-helmet hit on Tennessee wide receiver Chris Moore.

Tannehill was injured on a sack by Ravens defensive lineman Justin Madubuike during the third quarter. He was able to continue playing until throwing an interception to safety Geno Stone with 4:43 left in the third.

He completed 8 of 16 passes for 76 yards. His replacement, second-year QB Malik Willis, was 4 of 5 for 74 passing yards and rushed three times for 17 yards.

Tannehill, who was on crutches after the game, said he would undergo an MRI when the team returns to Tennessee.

“I couldn’t put any force into the throws,” he said. “I kept walking it off but it was getting worse and worse. I figured if I’m going to be a sitting duck back there and can’t step into a throw, I wouldn’t be effective.”

Tannehill, 35, played in 12 games in 2022 (all starts) and missed the final three games with a right ankle injury.

After a bye next week, the Titans host the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29.

“I think it was hard for him to be able to execute the stuff from what I was seeing,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel said. “We talked about doing some different things or what his mobility would look like. We certainly don’t want to put him in harm’s way and not able to protect himself.”

Hamilton hit Moore during the pass attempt with 8:37 remaining in the third quarter, resulting in flags being thrown following the incompletion.

Moore, who spent his first five seasons with the Ravens, struggled to get to his feet and needed to be assisted off the field.

Hamilton, 22, entered Sunday’s contest with 24 tackles, three sacks and one interception in five games (all starts) this season.

He has 86 tackles, five sacks and one pick in 21 career games (nine starts) since being selected 14th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame.
