Tennessee Titans senior defensive assistant Jim Schwartz has entered the league’s COVID protocol and will miss Sunday’s road game against the Indianapolis Colts.

It wasn’t clear whether Schwartz, 55, tested positive or was a close contact. Coach Mike Vrabel has said his entire coaching staff is vaccinated.

Schwartz, who spent 10 seasons with the Titans (1999-2008), rejoined the team in the offseason. He worked the past five seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles before announcing his intention to retire in January.

The Titans (5-2) also announced that linebacker Rashaan Evans (ankle) will be out vs. the Colts (3-4).

Tennessee called up running back Dontrell Hilliard and defensive lineman Eli Ankou from the practice squad and signed fullback Tory Carter to the active roster.
