Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter will miss the final two games of the season with a knee injury.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed Ledbetter’s status on Tuesday.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss at Chicago and Ledbetter did not return.

Ledbetter posted career highs in starts (12), sacks (1.5), quarterback hits (four) and tackles (46) this season. He has three sacks and 72 tackles in 28 games (16 starts) with the Miami Dolphins (2019) and Cardinals (2021-23).

The Cardinals on Tuesday waived cornerback Marco Wilson, who started the first 11 games this season but has not played a defensive snap in the four games since then.

Wilson, 24, has 52 tackles and four passes defended this season. He had started 37 of 43 games in his three-year career with the Cardinals, collecting 158 tackles, three interceptions, 18 passes defended and three forced fumbles.

Arizona selected him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida.

He had dropped in the depth chart behind veteran Antonio Hamilton and rookie Starling Thomas V as starting cornerbacks, and rookies Kei’Trel Clark and Garrett Williams as reserves.

Arizona also released tight end John Shenker from the practice squad.
