Pass rusher Danielle Hunter agreed to a one-year contract that can be worth up to $20 million with the Minnesota Vikings, multiple media outlets reported on Sunday.

Per the reports, Hunter will receive $17 million guaranteed and can pocket $3 million in sack incentives. Additionally, the new deal prevents the Vikings from using the franchise or transition tag on him next season.

Hunter, 28, registered 10 1/2 sacks last season as he was named a Pro Bowler for the third time in his past four seasons played (he missed the entire 2020 season with a neck injury).

He has 71 career sacks and has registered 10 or more four times in his seven seasons with the Vikings, who selected him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
