The New York Jets are releasing backup safety Adrian Amos, multiple outlets reported Saturday.

The Jets signed Amos, a teammate of quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, to a one-year $1.75 million guaranteed deal in June.

Amos, 30, had started every game over the past five seasons before signing with the Jets. He has played in all 11 games, starting three, but has taken part of just 34 percent of the team’s defensive snaps.

In his previous eight seasons, he played at least 92 percent of the snaps seven times for the Chicago Bears (2015-18) and Packers (2019-22).

In 137 career games (125 starts), Amos has 659 tackles, six sacks, 10 interceptions, 49 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

With the Jets, he tallied 23 tackles and one pass defended.

Jordan Whitehead and Tony Adams are entrenched as the starters at safety for the Jets (4-7).

New York hosts the Atlanta Falcons (5-6) on Sunday.
