The Houston Texans are activating cornerback Derek Stingley from injured reserve on Saturday, multiple media outlets reported.

Stingley has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury in practice following Houston’s Week 2 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. He returned to practice on Wednesday and was a full participant in the sessions on Thursday and Friday.

Stingley, 22, has made nine tackles and allowed four catches for 37 yards and no touchdowns this season.

The 2022 first-round pick (third overall) made nine starts as a rookie and posted 43 tackles, one interception and one sack without giving up a touchdown. He sustained a season-ending leg injury in Week 10.
