The Baltimore Ravens promoted linebacker Kyle Van Noy to the active roster, NFL Network reported on Saturday.

The reported move comes four days after Van Noy joined the Ravens’ practice squad. It likely came out of necessity, as Baltimore (2-1) ruled out outside linebackers Odafe Oweh (ankle) and David Ojabo (knee/ankle) for Sunday’s game against the host Cleveland Browns (2-1). Fellow linebacker Tyus Bowser in on the non-football injured list.

Van Noy, a two-time Super Bowl champion, recorded 46 tackles, five sacks and two fumble recoveries in 17 games (13 starts) with the Los Angeles Chargers last season.

Van Noy, 32, has totaled 470 tackles, 33.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries in 128 career games (86 starts) with the Detroit Lions (2014-16), New England Patriots (2016-19, 2021), Miami Dolphins (2020) and Chargers (2022).
