The New England Patriots expect starting left guard Michael Onwenu to come off the reserve/COVID-19 list and practice on Thursday, ESPN reported.

He was placed on the list Oct. 5 along with starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn, who remains out. Both players missed the Patriots’ win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Onwenu’s return means the Patriots (2-3) could have at least two offensive-line starters on the field Sunday when they host the Dallas Cowboys (4-1) on Sunday. Center David Andrews is expected to be in the lineup, while right guard Shaq Mason (abdominal) is recovering from injury. Right tackle Trent Brown (calf) remains on injured reserve.

Onwenu, 23, was a sixth-round pick in 2020 and has started all 20 of New England’s games since then, splitting time at right tackle and both guard spots.
