The Detroit Lions will not tender restricted free agent cornerback Jerry Jacobs, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Jacobs, 26, is now set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13.

Undrafted in 2021, he posted 131 tackles and four interceptions in 40 games (29 starts) for the Lions.

Jacobs started 12 of his 15 games last season and set career highs in interceptions (three) and tackles (55). He was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 13 with a thigh/knee injury.
