The New York Jets traded wide receiver Mecole Hardman back to the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Hardman played his first four seasons with the Chiefs before signing a one-year, $4 million deal with the Jets in March.

Hardman played just 28 offensive snaps and caught one pass for 6 yards in five games this season with New York.

The Jets are sending Hardman and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Chiefs in exchange for a 2025 sixth-rounder, per the report.

A second-round pick by Kansas City in 2019, Hardman made the Pro Bowl as a special teams player during his rookie season. He won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs.

Hardman, 25, has 152 career receptions for 2,094 yards and 16 touchdowns in 62 games (26 starts) with the Chiefs and Jets.
