The New York Giants are signing fullback Jakob Johnson to a contract, ESPN reported on Tuesday.

The Giants released the versatile veteran during roster cuts on Aug. 27. He was then signed to — and subsequently released from — the practice squad.

Johnson, who plays both tight end and fullback, appeared in 13 games (five starts) last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

A native of Stuttgart, Germany, Johnson has totaled 19 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown in 67 career games (34 starts) with the New England Patriots (2019-21) and Raiders (2022-23).
