Chicago Bears wide receiver N’Keal Harry is expected to miss up to eight weeks recovering from surgery to repair a high-ankle sprain.

Chicago is dealing with myriad injuries at the position entering its preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.

Harry was injured Saturday during training camp practice. Multiple reports on Thursday indicated the ankle injury required “tightrope surgery” with a recovery window of at least six weeks before he’s back on the field.

Harry could be placed on injured reserve if he’s unavailable until mid-October.

The former first-round pick was traded to the Bears from the New England Patriots in return for a seventh-round pick.

Harry hauled in just 57 catches for 598 yards and four TDs in three seasons with New England.

The Bears are thin at receiver even before the full picture is available on David Moore’s status. He was hurt in Tuesday’s practice.

Wideouts Byron Pringle, Velus Jones Jr. and Dante Pettis are also dealing with injuries.
