Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ditched the arm sleeve and returned to throwing passes in practice on Thursday.

Jackson wore a protective sleeve on his right arm and didn’t throw a single pass during Wednesday’s practice, when he was listed on the injury report for a strained elbow.

But Jackson and Ravens coach John Harbaugh downplayed the injury report and arm sleeve at midweek, focusing on the belief Jackson would be slinging the ball around Gillette Stadium against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Both teams have 1-1 records.

The right elbow strain has not been a problem disclosed on the injury report prior to this week.

“I’m feeling good. I’m going to be out there Sunday,” Jackson told reporters Wednesday when asked if he threw at all. “No. I’m going to throw Sunday. A lot Sunday.”

Jackson threw 29 times in Sunday’s 42-38 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He completed 21 passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns and ran another nine times for 119 yards and a score.

Harbaugh said Jackson is dealing with “normal, course of the season type thing.”

Jackson has an admirer who’ll be standing across the field on Sunday. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked Wednesday if Jackson has answered all of the pre-draft concerns.

“Without a doubt,” Belichick said. “He’s the type of player that’s an MVP candidate. … Wait until we see what his contract is, that will answer them.”
