Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua exited Sunday night’s game against the Detroit Lions and will not return due to a knee injury.

Nacua was originally listed as questionable after sustaining the injury after a 6-yard catch with 6:36 left in the second quarter. He was not hit on the play and eventually returned to the field just before the break.

However, at halftime, Nacua was carted to the locker room and ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Nacua, 23, had four catches for 35 yards before his night was over.

In 17 games (all starts) last season, Nacua set rookie records with 105 receptions for 1,486 yards. He also hauled in six touchdowns.

Sunday marked the season opener for the Rams, who went 10-7 last season.
