Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will play the rest of the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced Thursday.

Multiple reports said Beckham decided between the Rams and the Green Bay Packers.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Wednesday that the Packers had offered Beckham the veteran’s minimum salary. Financial terms of Beckham’s deal with the Rams were not announced by the team.

The New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs were said to be pursuing Beckham as well.

In Los Angeles, Beckham will join a team that already features wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Kupp leads the NFL in receptions (74), receiving yards (1,019) and touchdowns (10) this season.

Beckham, 29, was traded in 2019 by the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns, who agreed Friday to waive him following a social media post from Beckham’s father criticizing Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Browns and Beckham came to terms on a reworked contract before placing him on waivers.

Beckham has 504 catches for 7,062 yards with 51 touchdowns in 88 career games with the Giants (2014-18) and Browns.

The Rams (7-2) are viewed around the league as being in “win-now” mode. They acquired Matthew Stafford last winter to become their new starting quarterback, and they added pass-rusher Von Miller at the trade deadline earlier this month.
