Coaching staffs for the Detroit Lions and New York Jets accepted the 2022 Senior Bowl coaching assignment on Tuesday.

Practices for the two all-star teams are scheduled to begin Feb. 1, with the nationally televised game to cap the week on Feb. 5.

The Lions own the No. 2 pick in the draft, in addition to a first-round selection from the Los Angeles Rams acquired in the Matthew Stafford trade.

The Jets picked second in 2021 and drafted BYU quarterback Zach Wilson. New York holds five of the top 69 selections in the 2022 draft, and the Jets have a pair of top-10 picks. The fourth pick is the team’s original selection and they added Seattle’s first-round pick — No. 10 — in exchange for sending Jamal Adams to the Seahawks.

The 2022 draft is scheduled to be held April 28-30 in Las Vegas.
